Cody Wero – Senior Energy Rater, HERS Rater, PHIUS+ Verifier, Energy Star Rater
Cody first joined New Ecology in 2010 as an intern. His professional experience has focused on diagnostic testing and sustainable retrofits of residential buildings. At New Ecology, he provides technical support for the existing buildings team. He performs diagnostic tests and assists with various tasks in the retrofit process, including building auditing, energy modeling, and data analysis. In 2011, Cody spent a year working for an environmental non-profit firm in New Orleans as part of the AmeriCorps VISTA program. He served as a technical coordinator, performing audits on single-family homes, analyzing energy data for a retrofit program, and expanding his knowledge of building performance in diverse climates. Upon completing his year of service in New Orleans, Cody returned to the Boston area and to New Ecology. He has enjoyed working in such an innovative and ambitious organization, and is excited for the continued growth of New Ecology.
