Kevin Collins – Senior Project Manager
Kevin joined New Ecology in November 2021. He has a broad spectrum of experience in the public and private building sectors, with a foundation in sustainability and green building. As Senior Project Manager, Kevin manages green building projects from pre-design through construction to operations optimization, involving facilitation and documentation of adherence to best practices, certifications, and regulatory requirements. His responsibilities include managing Phius, LEED, Enterprise Green Communities, ENERGY STAR, and DOE ZERH certifications, as well as coordinating green building zoning compliance. Kevin also serves as a LEED Green Rater and is a RESNET Certified HERS energy modeler. Prior to joining New Ecology, Kevin managed the grant funding mechanisms for a wide portfolio of green new construction projects and energy-efficient critical system renovations in public school buildings across the state. As a contractor, Kevin has weatherized and insulated dozens of homes. He has also conducted hundreds of residential energy audits in eastern Massachusetts. He holds a Master’s of Science in Construction Management and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Green Building and Sustainable Design. Kevin likes all outside things, mostly skiing, running, and biking. Catch him at a brewery or chasing Quinn around town!
