Steven McCarthy – Senior Energy Engineer, CEM
Steve joined New Ecology in March 2013. At New Ecology, he will evaluate the energy performance of existing buildings and design improvements to mechanical and electrical systems, building envelope and management practices to dramatically reduce energy consumption in multifamily housing. Additionally, he will perform technical analysis of energy consumption, design and implement energy control measures and manage retrofit projects. Prior to joining New Ecology, Inc., Steve served as the Director of Energy at Wingate Companies and his role included performing energy audits and implementing energy control measures at the multifamily and commercial buildings managed by Wingate. Steve also worked at Aalanco Service Corp., a mechanical contracting firm where he was a founder and served as president. Steve brings to New Ecology 26 years of management experience in mechanical contracting, project management, energy efficiency consulting and preparing technical specifications for mechanical and electrical retrofit projects. Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University.
