BuildingWell

Buildingwell is a green building wiki that is designed to assemble, organize and vet the most valuable and current information about greening affordable housing. It will provide greening guidance for affordable housing practitioners and contain interactive components that allow users to converse and learn from each other based on their experiences. Users will be able to post information about products, suppliers, cost, relevant articles, websites and case studies as well as discuss green affordable housing challenges and successes. The site will provide access to experts in the field who will respond to project specific questions. Users will be able to control their level of activity and involvement and sign up for as much or as little information as they choose.

For novice green builders, this site will provide the fundamental information necessary when embarking on a green affordable housing project for the first time. For more advanced users, it will organize and update the most pertinent information and give them a forum for discussing advanced techniques with like minded professionals. Due to its dynamic and accessible nature, Buildingwell will advance greening in the national affordable housing community through expanded dissemination of cost-effective best practices.
