ELECTRIFY CAMBRIDGE
Electrify Cambridge provides no-cost technical assistance and decarbonization plans to Cambridge residents interested in energy efficiency and electrification of their buildings but aren’t sure where to start.
The program is funded by the City of Cambridge to ensure that residents in all buildings can access independent guidance from technical experts on electrification and efficiency measures. The services range from answering specific equipment or scope of work questions to a full, high-level, decarbonization plan. Projects are also pointed towards available state and federal incentives to help fund their electrification over time.
Within Electrify Cambridge, New Ecology manages all of the consultations for the larger 10+ unit buildings. Utilizing our deep expertise in affordable multifamily housing, New Ecology provides Cambridge residents and building owners the technical knowledge and planning needed to decarbonize and achieve climate goals.
The City of Cambridge intends to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Buildings are the source of over 80% of greenhouse gas emissions in the city. The Electrify Cambridge program complements Cambridge’s initiatives and goals by allowing access to specialized advising and expertise to the community in order to achieve net zero!
