
Pat Coleman – Principal Director, Climate Smart Communities
Pat joined New Ecology in 2015 and serves as the Principal Director of the Climate Smart Communities Division, which offers programs and services to advance high-performance housing and community rejuvenation. The CSC division is particularly focused on unregulated, “naturally” occurring affordable housing and partnering with community-based organizations. Previously, Pat spearheaded New Ecology’s entry into the Mid-Atlantic region, opened New Ecology’s office in Delaware, researched new market opportunities, and supported strategic organizational growth. Before joining New Ecology, Pat worked for the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and as an organizer and affordable housing policy analyst in Massachusetts and New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a Master in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a Certified Passive House Builder.
